When the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V was announced, the immediate remark from industry analysts and experts was that the flagship sedan will be Cadillac's answer to some of its European rivals. The car packs a powerful engine and combines it with utmost luxury and comfort that the Cadillac brand has been known for.
Upon seeing the specs sheet of the 2016 CTS-V, one will instantly notice the powerful 6.2-liter V8 engine which is also what drives the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 supercar. Essentially, the latest successor of the CTS-V brand is a combination of raw power and comfort.
A message from Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen was posted on Cadillac's official website, which reads, "The new CTS-V is essentially two cars in one: a luxury sedan with sophisticated road manners and a track-capable sports car with awe-inspiring performance."
The supercharged engine of the car has a recorded power output of 640 horsepower at 6,400rpm and a 630 pounds-to-foot torque at 3,600rpm. It has a wheelbase of 114.6 inches, length at 197.6 inches, 72.2 inches in width and height of 57.2 inches.
