"Pretty Little Liars" (PLL) wraps up Season 6A with an intense finale that reveals the answer to all the questions to the mystery related to "A" on Aug. 11, 2015. The Episode 10 "Game Over, Charles" will see the end to Charles DiLaurentis' story. The show will then take a long break before it returns for the second half of the Season 6. Here is what fans can expect when the show returns with Season 6B of "Pretty Little Liars."
The midseason finale promises to reveal the identity of Liars' tormentor "A" and his history. As the puzzle is solved, the Liars undergo a five-year time jump and enter their adult lives. All the girls will be in a different place when "Pretty Little Liars" (PLL) return for Season 6B.
"We do a time jump in our show, and you see these girls in totally different worlds," Sasha Pieterse, actress who plays Alison DiLaurentis, told Entertainment Weekly earlier in June. At this time, the girls will be seen in their post-college years and "dealing with the realities of life."
In a recent interview with EW, the show creator Marlene King shared what the girls will be like after the time jump in "Pretty Little Liars" Season 6B. At the time, the girls will have finished the school and will be one year out of college. Thus fans can expect the girls to undergo huge change.
"We made that decision so they would have a year to finish school and firmly root themselves into their desired careers, so their wardrobe and hair and makeup and styles reflect where they are professionally in their lives," Marlene King explained.
King also dished out on what the girls were up to during those five years. According to "Pretty Little Liars" (PLL) creator, the girls have lived a "free life" for five years as their tormentor and stalker is already gone. However, they continue to deal with the trauma caused by the events of their past. This stress continues to impact their future and the "decisions that they make."
"They're not different people," King said. "They're just more grown-up versions of themselves."
The show is not ending. However, it enters a new phase where new storylines are expected to be introduced. The show runner promised that "there's definitely some mysteries to come and a lot more story to tell" in "Pretty Little Liars" (PLL) Season 6B.
As for the Liars, they may not be together as a team anymore when the show resumes it's run for the remaining episodes of Season 6. Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, actress Shay Mitchell, who portrays Emily, revealed the Liars "may not be together-together the entire team" post five-year-time jump.
There is still time for the network to release the synopsis for "Pretty Little Liars" (PLL) Season 6B premiere. But according to Spoiler TV, Episode 11 of the show is titled "Of Late I Think of Rosewood."
"Pretty Little Liars" (PLL) Season 6A finale airs Aug. 11. And Season 6B premieres early 2016 on ABC Family. Stay tuned for more spoilers.
