The Google Nexus 5 2015 release date is likely to happen as early as August as new reports came out that suggest Android M is rolling out real soon. Also, fresh details on the next Nexus flagship were again hinted by a leaked handset render.
Android M's official name could be known in the next few days, according to Phone Arena. In the same blog report, a clip purportedly from Googlers named Nat and Lo was shown teasing the official name of Google's new mobile operating system. Titled "What's M Gonna Be," the YouTube video floated possible sweet labels such Malt Ball, Milkshake and Moon Pie.
Nat and Lo, however, stopped short of providing explicit clues but the duo allowed that Android M, said to be Android 5.2 version, will be formally revealed this August with the naming set to happen as early as next week. It is expected that the same Googlers will issue a new clip at around the same time or a week from now, Phone Arena said.
And while waiting for the actual Android M unveiling the first handset that the mobile OS will power appears all set to be revealed as well. In a new collaboration by @OnLeaks and tech blog site uSwitch.com, the rumored LG Nexus 5 2015 is again the subject of a new render that showcased the vanilla Android flagship in various angles.
The partnership resulted to a video (can be viewed here) plus a bunch of images that revealed the LG Nexus will rock a slightly protruding camera like the iPhone 6. The render also showed a rear-located fingerprint scanner that sits right below the main camera, which supports the earlier speculations that the device will have a unique implementation of its biometric features.
On front, the display panel measures 5.2-inch diagonally that also rhymes with earlier reports. The same area will also feature a front speaker that @OnLeaks had shared earlier. A USB Type-C port is also found on the bottom of the device and the right side the audio jack.
According to uSwitch, the render created by @OnLeaks was based on schematics obtained in advanced by smartphone accessory makers.
So with Android M seemingly coming out soon and the LG Nexus 5 2015 specs and features rapidly shaping up, the vanilla Android device is likely geared for an earlier than expected release date. It was said that the simultaneous launch could be launched in September but August now appears as the revelation time picked by Google.
