"The Lion King" new movie the "The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar" is scheduled to air in November and will be followed shortly by "The Lion Guard" TV series by 2016 on Disney Junior.

The new movie will focus on Kion (Max Charles), Simba and Nala's youngest cub. Kion was assigned as the lion guard leader and was tasked to lead a group of animals that will protect the Pride lands.  However, the cub goes against tradition and decided to invite his friends instead of the fast and fierce animals.

Kids and kids-at-heart will get to meet Kion's friends: self-assured cheetah Fuli (Diamond White), Beshte the hippo (Dusan Brown), Ono the smart egret (Atticus Shaffer), and Bunga the brave honey badger (Joshua Rush).

Disney Channel's "Lion Guard" will learn how to utilize each of their unique abilities to solve problems and accomplish tasks to maintain balance within the circle of life, Los Angeles Times reported.

"The Lion King" continuation just won't be the same without any of the characters that the fans have come to love.  We should expect to see Kion's sister Kiara, Timon (Kevin Schon), Pumbaa (Ernie Sabella), Rafiki (Khary Payton), and Mufasa (James Earl Jones), according to IB Times.

"The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar" would be the fourth movie of the famous franchise and the second one that will be aired straight to television.  Next to "The Lion King's Timon and Pumbaa," "The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar" would the second animated television series of the franchise.
