"Love and Hip Hop" star Yung Joc is reportedly sued for $80,000 over an unpaid 24-karat diamond bracelet he purchased six years ago.
According to Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Atlanta-based jeweler Aydin & Company filed a lawsuit against Yung Joc, whose real name is Jasiel Robinson, in Fulton County Superior Court on Aug. 17.
The plaintiff claimed that the rapper bought the expensive diamond bracelet and ring on Aug. 21, 2009 and agreed to pay $17,500, but the rapper failed to pay the items despite demands from the seller.
Now in litigation, the company seeks $79,901.96 for accumulated interest, lawyers and court fees. Yung Joc is yet to respond on the lawsuit.
Meanwhile, Yung Joc is reportedly worth millions. HipHop DX reported that Yung Joc made it in the Forbes list for the richest rappers in 2006 settling in the 20th place. The report added that the rapper earned $10 million in one year.
Yung Joc entered the national hip-hop scene with his 2009 single "It's Goin Down," which spiked to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and currently stars in VH1 reality show "Love and Hip Hop Altanta".
However, his online profile for the show, he already shifted his focus to "his other business ventures and raising his nine kids with his multiple [exes]."
This is not the first time that Yung Joc got in trouble with the law. In April, Robinson was arrested in Atlanta on charges including speeding and driving with a suspended license.
