Week 2 of the NFL's 2015 preseason schedule will be opened by a match between the Detroit Lions and Washington Redskins at the FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland on Thursday, August 20.
Detroit cruised to a 23-3 victory against the New York Jets in their preseason opener at home last Thursday as they dominated the match from start to finish, as per SB Nation.
Quarterback Matt Stafford led the Lions to a touchdown right on their opening series as the 27-year-old Pro Bowler found wideout Golden Tate for a 35-yarder and the rout began from there.
On the same day, the Redskins overpowered the Cleveland Browns on the road, 20-17, to also win their first preseason game, via Bleacher Report.
The Lions may let Stafford take it easy this time on the road, but the Redskins are out to win in front of their fans even if it is only preseason.
