Country singer Chris Young since denying accusations of being responsible for the divorce of singers' Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton has revealed in an interview, the awkward position the rumours have place him in with the stars who are his friends.
Against the backdrop of the sudden divorce of Shelton and Lambert in July, fans of the couple were sent reeling with the news and rumours began to take hold.
The biggest accusation in the split has been hurled at Young who has been accused of having an affair with Lambert. The accusation was quickly and firmly squashed by the singer when he responded via a tweet.
The "I'm Comin' Over" singer told ET Online that it was a "weird situation of getting pulled into something like that."
During the interview the singer again denied any truth to the claims and said he found the reports to be surprising and that he was "even" shocked that such rumours would have anything to do with him.
The country singer revealed according to US Weekly that Shelton 39, had laughed off the rumours of cheating between his wife and Young.
In terms of his friendship with the country couple Young said nothing has changed and that he is in touch with both of them. He also implied that the couple are still good friends and have been keeping well since the split.
The singer also opened up about his views on marriage and divorce with quite a few personalities in the industry going in for divorce, he said it has influenced his views on love and marriage.
The upcoming album "I'm Comin' Over" of the country star is set to come out in the fall while his tour for the album will kick off in Oct. in Georgia.
