Viewers who had completed the five seasons of "Game of Thrones" may think they have mastered the series already. "A Song of Ice and Fire" readers, however, believe that there are more to discover in Daario Naharis, Robb Stark, and Tyrion Lannister.
The producers of "Game of Thrones" series will have a lot to deal with had they fully adopted George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. The novels are thick. The plots are complex and the characters are countless. Too many actors will be required.
While preserving the historical significance and breath-taking plot of the novel, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss made changes in the story, Fansided reported.
1. Naharis is more refined.
In the novels, Naharis is the ideal man of ladies in the past.
"His beard was cut into three prongs and dyed blue, the same color as his eyes and the curly hair that fell to his collar. His pointed mustachios were painted gold," Martin wrote in the books.
Naharis wears golden clothes with floral accents. His nails are painted blue.
In the TV show, Naharis is a modern prince charming. He is strong, sexy, and candid. He has a nice butt and he looks great topless.
2. Stark was a man of his word.
In the novels, a much older Stark agreed to a shot-gun arranged marriage. For the sake of his family and his kingdom, he was betrothed to a Jeyne Westerling, who hails from a minor house sworn to the Lannisters.
In the show, Stark was younger, wilder, and more handsome. Unable to control his sexual urges, he marries a seductive female named Talisa. The marriage violated his covenant with Walder Frey and got him into disagreements, Bustle reported.
3. Lannister had a dwarf lover.
Lannister's trip to Mereen was longer in the pages.
In the screen, Lannister travels to Volantis, gets kidnapped by Jorah, is taken by slavers, and arrives in Meereen.
Those events happened in the books, along with other occurrences. Lannister met Aegon VI Targaryen, a long-lost Targaryen prince. He fell in love with Penny, a fellow dwarf. He came across Moqorro, a charismatic priest who worships the fire god. He befriended Sweets, a hermaphroditic slave.
