Motorola is currently working on a Sport variant to their smartwatch lineup. It will be called Moto 360 Sport, which is the same with Apple Watch Sport edition.
Leaks from the tweet of @upleaks suggest that the Moto 360 Sport looks like the upcoming Moto 360 2. However, the difference is that the Sport variant has a polyurethane body and band to replace the metal and leather on the standard Moto 360. Moto 360 Sport features different colored bands, rendering a colorful outlook with black, white and orange straps with rugged design.
The leaked images shows that the crown button is positioned at 2 o'clock and has no external lugs. Its band merges with smartwatch's body and the separate dial can be seen on the side. In terms of specifications, Moto 360 Sport variant will have a 270 mAh battery but the company has not yet revealed the true specs of the new smartwatch, NDTV Gadgets reported.
It shows off as a new fitness device for fitness-conscious users, featuring a new fitness tracking app that is not available on the current Moto 360. It has also heart-rate, distance, and pace tracking features, according to The Verge. It shows the users about the covered time and miles, and the blood pressure per minute during activities. Moto 360 Sport would feature a Hybrid Display that is optimized for outdoor use. It has also 3 ATM (atmospheres) water resistance, barometer and GPS.
Motorola plans to release complete details on their new smartwatches, Moto 360 2 and Moto 360 Sport, lineup at Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin (IFA) trade show this week in Berlin, Germany. The company is expected to reveal the prices of the smartwatches. The company will also reveal if Moto 360 2 and Moto 360 Sport will be available on November and December respectively.
