"Tyrant" season 2 came to a shocking end with its finale episode on Sept. 1, Tuesday on FX. The episode, titled "Pax Abuddin," focused on the post war Abuddin with Barry (Adam Rayner) and Jamal's (Ashraf Bahrom) struggle over power.
The episode also featured Leila's (Moran Atias) effort to crown her son Ahmed (Cameron Gharee). But it was Nusrat (Sibylla Deen) who ultimatley left the fans shocked.
"Tyrant" season 2 episode 12 began with Arab League finally taking notice of the commotion in the country when they are approached by Leila who offers to give a testimony against Jamal. In return she demands her son to be crowned once the matter is settled.
While the Arab league is not much convinced by Leila's offer, it turns out that American representative reaches out to Molly (Jennifer Finnigan) as they want Barry to take over. On the other hand, Barry is planning to pack his bags and go back to his old life in U.S along with his family when Sammy (Noah Silver) tells him about a rally where people are going out of control for his appearance
Barry addresses the rally and gives a power-packed motivating speech to people about uniting and demanding their rights to put an end to dynasties and to start having elections.
Jamal is watching the speech live on TV when Leila confides in him about her deal with the Arab league and tells him to step down from the power. Jamal chose to resign in exchange for lighter sentence against his war crimes.
Everything was going as expected when Mahmoud, Jamal's General, approached him with new evidences that will blame the attack with Saran gas on Tariq. Jamal makes a U-turn and started addressing the country in a televised speech as President during which he warns foreign meddlers from manipulating in his land.
In the mid of his live speech, Jamal is shot down by Nusrat multiple times. Despite Barry's presence on the spot, it appears that Jamal will not be able to make it.
