Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are moving forward with their divorce decision amid the rumor of their reconciliation owing to their recent spotting.
The couple was clicked, leaving a family counselling center in Los Angeles on Sept. 3, Thursday. The pics showed the two smiling and presumably happy which led to rumors that they have backtracked from their decision to divorce and are trying to work on their marriage.
While the 43-year-old actor was dressed in a charcoal T-shirt, dark denim jeans, and grey New Balance trainers, his estranged Golden Globe-winning wife was seen in blue skinny jeans, a red tartan button-up, and black ballet flats. The pair was constantly smiling as if the parents-of-three were sharing an inside joke.
However, it is now confirmed that Affleck and Garner are still determined to part ways and are attending the counselling sessions so that the divorce does not hurt their family.
"There is no reconciliation," a source close to the couple told People before further adding that "they want to make this transition as easy as possible for their family."
This is not the first reported visit of the couple to a marriage counsellor. The duo used to attend the weekly sessions earlier, but stopped going there in the months leading up to their divorce announcement.
The couple is already leading their separate lives with Garner and kids currently living in the family home, which is under renovation, while the "Gone Girl" actor is staying at a rental down the street, Daily Mail reported.
After staying in the marriage for 10 years, Affleck and Garner announced on June 30 that they are heading for a split. Their divorce announcement was closely followed by reports of the actor having an affair with the family's former nanny Christine Ouzounian.
