"The Flash" season 2 executive producer Andrew Kreisberg recently dished on Harrison Wells' upcoming return to The CW series.
In season 1, Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) and the rest of Team Flash found out Dr. Wells' alter ego as the Reverse Flash.
During the season 1 finale episode, Dr. Wells died after his ancestor Eddie took his own life, according to Design N Trend.
Now, Kreisberg said that fans of Dr. Wells will still have the chance to see him in the upcoming second season of "The Flash."
In an interview with TV Line, executive producer Gabrielle Stanton said, "Harrison Wells will be back, but he's going to be a very different Harrison Wells than we've seen before."
However, it seems that Dr. Wells will not necessarily return to the current world. This is because when the publication asked him how exactly Dr. Well will return considering he is already dead, Stanton teased that the show has multiple worlds and timelines.
"We've got other worlds. We've got other timelines. All I'm going to say is, he's from one of those places," he said.
Meanwhile, The CW recently released a new teaser for "The Flash" season 2 which featured new character, Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears).
On the show, Jay will play the role of the person to have ever donned The Flash identity. He will also be the one responsible for teaching Barry about the different timelines and worlds.
"The Flash" season 2 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. ET.
