Apple's personal assistant for iOS 9 now uses artificial intelligence when responding to individual voices after receiving a training session. Siri on the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus features personalized voice recognition for the smartphone's owner. The new iOS 9 beta version was introduced at this week's September Apple event, where it also unveiled a new iPad and Apple TV.
iOS is scheduled to hit the market on September 16. Meanwhile, the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are tentatively to be released on September 25, according to Top Tech News.
iOS gadget owners must first activate the "Hey Siri" function. The Apple operating system then conducts a short voice training session. After users say "Hey Siri" three times and answer a couple of questions, the artificial intelligence (AI) software then learns their unique voice.
The new Siri feature only works when the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are not plugged in. All other iOS devices must be plugged in, according to ZDNet.
This is not the first feature of its kind. Still, the personalized voice recognition will make iOS phones, tablets, and wearables more functional.
Apple announced that the update will make Siri more powerful. The personal assistant can now make more smart searches and reminders, factoring in the time and the location of an iOS device's user. It will also protect privacy.
iOS users have reported some bugs in the Apple personal assistant's software. They include it responding to other people's voices and to the word "Syria," and correcting their use of curse words.
