Many Motorola devices will be getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow update soon. Here is the Android Marshmallow release news for Moto G (1st Generation, 2nd Generation, 3rd Generation), Moto E (2013) and Moto E (2014).
According to Android Standard, Motorola is working on releasing the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update to Moto G 1st and 2nd Gen. As for the Moto G 3rd Gen, the company is trying to release it with inbuilt Android Lollipop operating system.
Android Marshmallow could come to the Moto G devices on time, which is speculated to be around December 2015 through January 2016.
According to analysts, the Moto G (third generation) will be the first to get the Android Marshmallow update, then Moto G (first generation) and Moto G (second generation). The Moto G (2nd Gen) could get the Android M update around January 2016 and the Moto G (1st Gen) could get it around February 2016.
Motorola recently declared that it will be rolling out the Android Lollipop 5.1.1 update to Moto E (2015) and Moto E (2014). According to previous reports, the company is planning to update 17 devices before Android M is released.
As of now, there is no information on when the Moto E (2013) and Moto E (2014) will be updated. Moto E is on the company's list of Android smartphones to update; however, previous models will need to wait longer. According to a Android Pit report, the Moto G (3rd and 2nd Gen) and Moto E should be able to get the Android Marshmallow update relatively quickly.
