Another star has been added to the list of "Jane the Virgin" Season 2 cast and characters. Mexican actress Kate del Castillo will be making an appearance with Jaime Camil, who portrays JTV character Rogelio de la Vega, in the upcoming new season of the CW TV series.
"Jane the Virgin" cast member Jaime Camil has shared the new season's casting news on his Instagram account jaimecamil. Camil welcomed Kate del Castillo on his Instagram post and even shared an image to tease the fans.
Camil also posted about Kate del Castillo's addition to the "Jane the Virgin" family on Twitter. According to a PopSugar report, there are no details yet on Kate del Castillo's role in the CW TV series but given that she is a telenovela actress, her scenes with Rogelio could be dramatic.

The other celebrities set to make an appearance in "Jane the Virgin" Season 2 are Britney Spears and Kesha. In an interview with ETonline, executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman talked about Britney Spears' guest appearance in "Jane the Virgin" Season 2.
Urman revealed that she and her team of writers came up with a great story first before adding Spears to the show's celebrity guest list. Urman shared that Spears loved the idea of portraying Rogelio de la Vega's rival.
Urman teased that Spears will be portraying an "exaggerated version" of herself during her guest appearance in the fifth episode of "Jane the Virgin" Season 2. "It's in the same spirit of when Paulina Rubio came on [to the show in season one]. It was still Paulina Rubio, but it was a fictionalized Jane the Virgin version," Urman told ETonline.
Urman further teased that the upcoming episode will reveal how Britney Spears and Rogelio de la Vega became rivals. The JTV fans can also expect some music during the pop superstar's guest appearance.
Aside from the Rogelio-Britney storyline, "Jane the Virgin" Season 2 will also touch on Rogelio's relationship with Xiomara Villanueva (Andrea Navedo) after they got married while drunk in the pilot season.
Meanwhile, People has reported that 28-year-old singer-songwriter Kesha will portray the character Annabelle, a rocker who moves next to Jane's home, in "Jane the Virgin" Season 2.
Additionally, Kesha's character in "Jane the Virgin" is not really a fan of babies so there could be a dispute since Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) will be raising her newborn son, Mateo. "Jane the Virgin" Season 2 will premiere on Monday night, Oct.12, at 9/8c on the CW Network.
