The SS501 lead Kim Hyun Joong is willing to be a father to his alleged child with ex-girlfriend, known to many as Ms. Choi, only after having a DNA Test.
The pregnancy was separately confirmed by both parties in February through their legal counsels. Kim Hyun Joong is willing to stand by his legal obligations as the father to their baby after they get the result of the DNA Test. Kim Hyun Joong became aware through the internet and other portals that his ex-girlfriend has given birth earlier than expected. Added by Kim Hyun Joong's legal counsel, they are only aware that Ms. Choi is due to give birth on September 12, which obviously did not happen.
Recently, according to Koreaboo, the legal counsel of the "Boys Over Flowers" star initiated a press conference to confirm that Ms. Choi, the controversial ex-girlfriend, has already given birth. Kim Hyun Joong is currently serving his military obligations and communicating to his fans and the media about his remarks on the situation through his legal representatives.
Ms. Choi, the estranged girlfriend of Kim Hyun Joong, is accusing the latter of resistance to undergo DNA Test. This allegation was then denied by Kim Hyun Joong's legal counsel and showed photos of Kim preparing for the DNA Test, reported by Korean Times. Confirmed by Kim Hyun Joong's legal counsel, Ms. Choi did not provide any other information than the gender of the baby.
Ms. Choi's legal counsel wanted to perform the DNA Test with all three parties present in one venue all at the same time, which Kim Hyun Joong refused to engage to. The relationship of Kim Hyun Joong and Ms. Choi became known to public when Ms. Choi filed charges of physical abuse against the singer-actor. And since then, lawsuits and countersuits have been flying from both parties.
With all the lawsuits and countercharges between Ms. Choi and Kim Hyun Joong, it would be legal to wait for the DNA Test result to prove that the actor is the true father of the child.
