EXO, Chinese-South Korean boy band consisting of two sub-groups EXO-M and EXO-K, is again making some noise as there are rumors spreading lately that there's another EXO member leaving, plus another that is dragged in a dating scandal.
Kim Jong-dae, also popularly known as Chen and the main vocalist of EXO-M, just turned 23 recently, and is now being rumored to be leaving the well-known Kpop band. It is said that the SM Entertainment talent plans on going solo and terminate his contract after gaining a lot of achievements, Movie News Guide reported.
After the Korean heartthrob's solo performance on "King of Mask Singer," he hinted and said that he always wanted to be judged as a singer and not just a member of EXO. If Chen's decision would be final, he would be the first Korean member to leave the Kpop band, after three Chinese members of EXO - Luhan, Kris, Tao - left the said boy band; however, an official statement is yet to be released to clear all speculations.
Meanwhile, one of the three Chinese EXO members who first left the band, Luhan, is making a name in the Chinese Music Industry. Former EXO member Luhan just recently debuted in China and already released his first album "Reloaded" plus two music videos. Luhan released his first music video titled "That Good Good," when he debuted last week, and a second single titled "Your Song" that was recently released in Sept. 21.
The continuous support that Luhan gets from his fans is just a proof that he is better off as a solo artist. According to another report of Movie News Guide, in addition to the former EXO member's achievements, after parting ways with SM Entertainment, include winning numerous awards as a singer and actor in China plus being named as one of the Top Ten Chinese Stars in 2015.
While there had been bad news about EXO members, there are also somewhat-positive rumors that are making rounds on the social media. It is said that SM Entertainment talents' EXO member D.O, born as Do Kyung-soo, and Red Velvet member Irene, born as Bae Joo-hyeon, are dating. Rumors widely spread in social media after a picture of the two were photograph during an SM Entertainment live concert, where it displays D.O holding Irene's wrist.
Though no official confirmation yet was released from their agencies, a Korean media outlet called World Today claimed that both SM Entertainment talents are really into a relationship and are officially admitting that they are dating.
This is not the first time that DO was involved in a dating scandal, as it was also recently reported that the EXO heartthrob is dating Girls Day member Park Sojin.
