Starbucks has announced the newest addition to mobile transactions - the pre-released Mobile Order and Pay system. Mobile Order and Pay will help its customers to place orders using the app on their smartphones before even going to the store itself. The application is available both for Android and iOS users. Although available in more than 7400 Starbucks outlets, the said mobile application is not yet official.
Currently, the application is running for test only until the end of the year. Some customers are already enjoying using the app but Starbucks has yet to make the app as one of their official mobile or online services. This mobile application aims to give convenience to their customers at all times. Users can order from the in-app menu and choose the store to get their orders from.
Starbucks aims to serve customers in a more faster and efficient way possible through this online service that the company is currently running. Customers can use Starbucks card, Apple Pay or any card payment enrolled to the smartphone used. With over 16 million mobile app users both for Android and iOS devices, creating this Mobile Order and Pay application for Starbucks is the expected way to reach out to their customers, Tech Crunch reported.
Talking about Starbucks' latest innovation, one of their all time favorite seasonal beverages is making a comeback. The Pumpkin Spice Latte has paved its way in Sept. 8, 2015. The brain behind this well-received drink is Peter Dukes who tagged it as "PSL tastes like fall." Pumpkin Spice Latte is available in U.S. and Canada, including almost 50 countries across the America, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Dukes said the PSL that is out now is made with real pumpkin and without caramel and coloring with spices like cinnamon, clove, ginger and nutmeg, according to Starbucks Newsroom.
