Bruce Jenner is definitely not returning. With the official change of his name to Caitlyn and gender to "woman," the Kardashians are finally sorting out his male clothes. The farewell rite has former wife Kris Jenner teary-eyed.
Viewers of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" were given a sneak peek of the clothes-sorting task by Kris who got some help from pregnant daughter Kim Kardashian. The reality star told Kris that Caitlyn allowed her to take some items from the former Olympian which includes old athletic wear and polo shirts, reports People.
The clothes include designer and branded wear that Bruce wore on special occasions when he was married to Kris for 22 years. Kim suggested to Kris that her siblings pick an item of Bruce's clothes as a way of keeping the memory of the former man of the house.
Kris, who held on tightly to a velvet jacket, said the item still smells of Bruce. She admits that "going through something like this is difficult because the whole thing is something I've never dealt with before." The 59-year-old adds that she has a long way to go before she could process and understand all these recent changes in their lives brought by her former husband's decision to transition into a woman.
"Seeing these clothes and realizing that Bruce has thrown them out makes it real," Kris says.
Linda Thompson, Caitlyn's second wife, considers her still the father of their two sons - 34-year-old Brandon and 32-year-old Brody. Married to Bruce for five years before he divorced her in 1986 and later married Kris, Linda says that while she and her ex-husband are not close friends and do not hang out, Caitlyn is invited to family functions that she attends.
However, Linda admits to Us Weekly that seeing the changes in the former Bruce is "a little surreal for all of us."
