How great are straight A students? During the 2012-2013 Fudan University Scholarship Presentation Ceremony, 4 straight A students were unveiled.
Li Ruilin, a sophomore student majoring in Mathematics, gains a GPA of 4.0, which means that Li Ruilin gets full mask in every examination. Li, who is also fond of sports, once lost weight of over 20 kilos by running.
Zhang Anqi, a senior student majoring in Materials Science, is a versatile talent. By the age of 21, she has already published 5 first-author SCI papers. She is also the youngest TOEFL teacher at New Oriental, a provider of private educational services in China.
As a member of Mensa, Zhang Anqi has been the main examiner of the admission tests of Mensa. During the sophomore year, she became a national certified interpreter and a member of Translators Association of China. This beautiful straight A student is now labeled as Fudan University's "Mensa Goddess."
The other two straight A students are also academic experts. Wang Chuan, a PhD student in the School of Life Sciences, has published 23 academic papers during the past three years, including 13 SCI papers with a total influencing factor of 60.71. Wang published 9 first-author SCI papers.
Another straight A student, Yang Zhibin, was just awarded the prize of 2013 Best PhD Student by the Materials Research Society. There are 33 PhD students from around the world who received the prize. Yang Zhibin is the only Asian recipient. By now, Yang has published 36 academic papers, including 11 first-author or co-first-author papers. Yang has applied for 10 patents, 6 of which have already been authorized.
