"Jessica Jones", Netflix's second Marvel series, had previously been teased with some photos.
Now, however, the official 48-second trailer has fuelled up many Marvel fans for the return of the atypical heroine in her own Netflix vehicle.
The description for the streaming site's first actual teaser states, according to USA Today, "After a tragic ending to her short-lived superhero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases in New York City."
In the network's incarnation of Jones (Krysten Ritter), who has always been portrayed to have a less-than-squeaky-clean image, she has just put away her superhero status and opened her own New York detective agency.
The trailer, according to The Wall Street Journal, shows that she is still not a morning person, and that she still has a fondness of the bottle.
The teaser opens at 2:59 p.m. in Hells Kitchen, NYC.
The camera moves slowly across an apartment floor littered with liquor bottle, clothes, photographs and a camera, and stops at Jones, who is sound asleep.
The alarm strikes 3 p.m. and "Loving You" by Minnie Riperton blasts out. Jones' hand totally destroys the alarm clock.
"Jessica Jones" is Marvel's second offering in the comic company's exclusive four-show deal with the network. It is set to run for 13 episodes.
Marvel's first offering was "Daredevil" and the two superheroes will appear in "Marvel's The Defenders" together with Luke Cage and Iron Fist after both solo series' premiere in 2016.
"Jessica Jones" premieres on November 20 on Netflix.
