Fans of the western-themed crime drama "Longmire" have been wondering whether there will be another season after season 4 ended with a cliffhanger. Cast members of the movie have continued dropping in teases of the possibility of a new season happening.
Ally Walker dropped the latest tease that she will be joining the crew for another season. In response to Parade on whether she will return for another season, Walker said, "I think there is a possibility that I'm going back, and if you watch it, there's a really interesting little cliffhanger that you'll see at the end of this year. So I'm pretty sure I'm going back, and we'll see what happens."
Walker joined "Longmire" for season 4 as Dr. Donna Sue Monahan, a psychiatrist working with veterans, and a woman with good rapport with Sheriff Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) amid suspicions of her illegal drug activity.
Enthusiasts must have already watched the entire season 4 of the film that was rescued by Netflix after being cancelled by A&E. Season 4 almost turned out a flop with A&E cancelling the series, with season 3 episode finale airing in August 2014. Warner Horizon Television solicited for a new network that would show the progression of the plot - according to Craig Johnson's novel "Walt Longmire Mysteries" - and Netflix decided to take up the task, Deadline reported.
It is speculated that Netflix will continue with at least one more season instead of dropping it immediately after season 4.
Taylor also teased that the fourth season would not wrap up things entirely, increasing chances of having a season 5. Currently, there is no official confirmation from Netflix as to whether there will be another season.
