"Everest" star Jake Gyllenhaal's height was finally revealed on the TBS talk show "Conan," where Conan O'Brien and podcast "Mystery Show" creator and host Starlee Kine measured the Oscar-nominated "Brokeback Mountain" actor.
During her appearance on "Conan," Kine said one of the biggest mysteries of her podcast consists of trying to find out how tall Gyllenhall is. She told O'Brien that some netizens did not consider her as a reliable source.
O'Brien then invited Gyllenhaal to the stage and measured his height with the help of Kine. It turned out that the "Everest" star stands 5'11" just like Lionel Richie, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Orlando Bloom, Jude Law, Tyrese Gibson, Brody Jenner, Shane West, James Franco, Taylor Kitsch and One Direction star Harry Styles, among others.
After playing a boxer in "Southpaw," Gyllenhaal appears as Scott Fischer in "Everest," which was written by William Nicholson and Simon Beaufoy. The biopic directed by Baltasar Kormakur hit theaters in the United States on Sept. 25.
Joining Gyllenhaal in the "Everest" cast are Jason Clarke as Rob Hall, Thomas M. Wright as Michael Groom, Martin Henderson as Andy "Harold" Harris, Tom Goodman-Hill as Neal Beidleman, John Hawkes as Doug Hansen, Michael Kelly as Jon Krakauer, Tim Dantay as John Taske, Naoko Mori as Yasuko Namba and Ang Phula Sherpa as Ang Dorjee, among others.
In 2016, Gyllenhaal will star in Jean-Marc Vallee's "Demolition" opposite "The Divergent Series" actress Naomi Watts and "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" actor Chris Cooper.
It has also been announced that Gyllenhaal will play Max Mermelstein in "The Man Who Made It Show" to be helmed by "The Magnificent Seven" director Antoine Fuqua.
