A Chinese American who has been working on investment immigration said that investment immigration probably be scheduled, and the time of schedule might be postponed indefinitely. According to the immigration law of the United States, the visa quota of EB-5 immigration investors is 7.1 percent of the annual employment-based visa quota. Currently, there is about 10 thousand quota for EB-5 immigration investors annually. Ministry of State Security sources showed that in 2012, there were 7641 who people obtained green cards through EB-5 Program. Eighty percent of those green card holders were Chinese and the numbers of people were much more than the numbers in 2011.
The staff of Inland Group who works on investment immigration said that according to the industry insiders' statistic data, there have been over 7000 applications that the immigration office could not process on time in the year of 2013-2014. It is predicted that the 10 thousand quota of the year of 2013-2014 should have been used.
The numbers of applicants are more than the quota; the excess part will be accumulated to be reviewed next year, and so on. That means investment immigration will be scheduled on a large scale.
