At 6:42 a.m. on March 14th, China's moon rover "Yutu" woke up from its three-month dormancy successfully. Previously, China's lunar probe "Chang'e 3" woke up at 15:21 p.m. on March 12th. More than three month has passed since moon rover "Yutu" and lunar probe "Chang'e 3" landed on the moon's surface. Now, as both of them have woken up, it is expected that more exploration works will be carried out in the future on the moon.

Since moon rover "Yutu" touched down on the moon's surface on December 15, "Yutu" has stood the test of three-month extremely cold temperature. After a long time of dormancy, Yutu woke up finally. According to work plans, moon rover "Yutu" will be transferred into long-term management mode though its mechanical control problems haven't been solved yet. But Chinese scientists will keep working on Yutu's mechanical control problems. Fortunately, Yutu's radar, panorama camera and infrared imaging equipment are functioning normally. Some basic exploration works can still be underway on the moon.
