Miss Grand International is an annual international beauty contest run by the Miss Grand International Organization based in Thailand. This year, the beauty pageant will take place at Indoor Stadium Huamark in Bangkok, Thailand on Oct. 25.
The contest is held in search of the potential woman to encourage and run the campaign "Stop the War and Violence." The competition takes place over a week in multiple events spread around Thailand.
The Miss Grand International beauty contest is organized in Thailand under the direction of Nawat Itsaragrisil and Yuphayao Teresa Chaivisut. Its second edition was broadcast live via YouTube and Channel 7 in Thailand. You can watch live the contest live on Youtube.
The current Miss Grand International is Daryanne Lees of Cuba who was crowned on Oct. 7, 2014, in Bangkok, Thailand will crown her successor at the grand finale. More than 90 delegates are anticipated to participate this year.
Miss Grand International 2015 the preliminary show will be held at Indoor Stadium Huamarks on Oct. 23. The final show will be held 25 Oct. in the same stadium. To buy the tickets for both the shows visit the official website.
According to the Bangkok Post, Indoor Stadium Huamark is an indoor sporting arena with the capacity of the arena is 15,000 spectators. It was built in 1966 for the 5th Asian Games and reduce to 6,000 after maintain in 2010.
Contestants in the Miss Grand International 2015 pageant arrived at Suvarnabhumi airport on Oct. 5 Monday. They were to travel to the eastern coastal province of Trat to pose for swimsuit photos on Oct. 11. Then the beauty queens will have a welcome reception party at Pearl Cruise along Chao Phraya River.
The delegates then will participate in activities and tour in Trat Province from Oct. 8-14 and in Samut Songkhram from Oct. 14 - 18.The contestants will compete in Swimsuit, Evening Gown and Question and Answer round at the finale.
Along with the main award and the runner-up spots beauties from all across the globe will vie for four special awards: Miss Popular Vote, Best in Swimsuit, Best Social Media, and Best in Evening Gown.
