Michigan State University is still ecstatic over winning the Miles Bridges tug-of-war but an even better prospect looms.
MSU got Bridges' commitment despite aggressive efforts by Kentucky, known as the top recruiting college in the last half decade.
Rivals no.1 recruit Josh Jackson is still on Coach Tom Izzo's priorities even though he already has the best class of 2016 so far.
There's also a big chance that he'll choose the Spartans because Miles Bridges is a close friend as he stated to ESPN.
"Me and Miles are real good friends," Jackson said. "Him going to Michigan State, I think it was a great decision for him. I think they really fit his style of play -- and also mine. Their point guard they got for the class of 2016, Cassius Winston, I've been knowing him since I was about eight years old. I got a real good relationship with the guys over at Michigan State. A lot of the players are from Michigan as well, so I know a couple of the players. I feel real comfortable with Michigan State."
The fansite Spartan Avenue listed other reasons why one of the nation's consensus top three players will be wearing their colors next year.
Jackson is a Michigan native just like Miles Bridges even though he went to high school in California. Just like Bridges, he may want to come back home and spend their college year/s close to home before turning pro.
With Michigan State, Jackson does not have to choose between being in his hometown and winning a title. He could do both in MSU with coach Tom Izzo consistently bringing the Spartans deep into the Tournament.
Jackson choosing MSU will give them a virtual "Fab Five"with three other Top 40 recruits and Miles Bridges. Those are very good reasons to determine a player's college.
