The fansites that cover the NBA teams are privy to both the fans' sentiments and the team's insiders. It doesn't look good for you if both of them predict your ouster.

That's what happening to Archie Goodwin of the Phoenix Suns even before the season starts. The athletic guard may lose his place in line with the team's new found depth-a situation Goodwin might be familiar with in Kentucky.

The two Suns' fansites are both at odds with Goodwin's place on the team. Valley of the Suns predicted that he won't finish the season with the Suns.

It's not for lack of talent, but with Coach Jeff Hornacek choosing to start Brandon Knight at shooting guard with Eric Bledsoe, Goodwin was pushed out of his natural position. It also did not help that the lottery pick of the Suns was spent on fellow Kentucky product Devin Booker-another shooting guard who was also projected as the best shooter of the 2015 Draft Class.

Booker's strength is Goodwin's weakness, as VOTS noted: "Goodwin can't shoot, he current roster looks to struggle to manufacture enough spacing, and if one were to wager on someone adding a three-point stroke, Goodwin wouldn't be the best bet."

The other Suns' fansite Bright Side of the Sun had the same assumption: "The Suns brought in Sonny Weems, Terrico White who all are SG's (although Weems might also get minutes at SF) which does not speak well for the Suns confidence in Archie Goodwin," they noted.

"I think that Archie definitely has enough talent and athletic ability to play somewhere in the NBA. But maybe not for the Suns."

There would be other teams that would appreciate what Goodwin brings and there's no doubt he can stay in the NBA, but the Suns have different priorities and they might trade him to address other assets.
