"Captain America: Civil War" will feature a new take on Baron Zemo and the possibility that Red Hulk may not appear in the film.
"Inglorious Basterds" star Daniel Bruhl revealed some interesting details on his role as Baron Zemo in "Captain America: Civil War" as he told Business Insider that he will take a different take on the Marvel villain seperating him from his comic book counterpart. Bruhl stated that Baron Zemo in the film will not be taking on his iconic purple mask and teased that fans will be surprise on the different take that he is about showcase during the film.
In the main Marvel comics, Baron Helmut Zemo created a dangerous formula called Adhesive X, an experimental super soldier serum which he created to defeat his nemesis Captain America. During a fight with Captain America, the Adhesive X was accidentally melded to his face scarring him with very same mask that wore. The purple mask became the trademark of the villain since then and comic book fans will be skeptical about it knowing that changing something to characters could be either a positive or negative effect in the film.
Bruhl also teased that Baron Zemo could have a connection with another Marvel film, "Doctor Strange" or other film projects in the MCU as he confidently stated that Marvel Studios can make everything, that is why it is written.
In other news, "The Incredible Hulk" star William Hurt explain his role in "Captain America: Civil War". Hurt will be reprising his role as General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross in the film and he will likely join Tony Stark/Iron Man's (Robert Downey Jr.) side to take on Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans). Hurt told The Wall Street Journal that General Ross will be different this time after the events of "The Incredible Hulk".
General Ross' participation in "Captain America: Civil War" has been a source of many rumors, particularly his transformation to his alter-ego, Red Hulk and Tony Stark was responsible for creating it using DNA from Bruce Banner/The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo).
When asked about the Red Hulk transformation rumors, Hurt answered that he does not know what to expect if or if not the Red Hulk will show up in the third installment, but he is open to the idea that his version Ross could transform into another gamma powered monster like the original Green Hulk.
"Captain America: Civil War" will be released in cinemas on May 6, 2016.
