Producer Yoshinori Kitase announced the delay through his twitter account, which states that the game will be released a little later than expected. According to Kotaku, Kitase further went on to add that "Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII" version for PC is currently in its last stage of production and that users and fans of the game need to wait a little longer than its anticipated release.

The team apologizes for the delay and promises to bring the game out for PC version in December, although the date is not confirmed yet. Further announcements regarding the release date will be made in the coming days.

However, the move of the team to delay the release of "Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII" received mixed reviews from audiences. Some even went to add that the team of "Lightning Returns" is trying to fix the troubles that were caused in PlayStation version, which could be the reason why the team takes so much time to come out with the "Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII" PC version. Also, there was news that the characters in the final trilogy series "Lighting Returns: Final Fantasy XIII" received Samurai outfits and another original sound track, which contributed to the delay, Siliconera reported.

Whatever the reason is, the wait seems to be valid enough and the game have been on the best sellers list ever since the first "Final Fantasy" release.
