APEC leaders identify development of regional advertising standards as 2014 priority.jpg

During the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) conference in Beijing next month, Chinese President Xi Jinping will be chairing the meetings with other international leaders, said Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

Wang said that the Chinese president will be chairing at the APEC Economic Leader's Meeting scheduled on Nov. 10 and 11 with the theme "Shaping the Future Through Asia-Pacific Partnership."

Wang added that APEC's 25-year-old history will be revisited by Xi, who will also express the country's stance on the development of Asia-Pacific economic pattern and cooperative partnerships.

Furthermore, the Chinese president will be attending the APEC CEO Summit on Nov. 9. Xi will discuss the country's perspective on regional collaboration in the Asia-Pacific as well as the Chinese economy's forecast, said Wang.

Xi will introduce China's reform development to business heads with regards to its progress internationally and for the Asia-Pacific region.

In addition, the Chinese president will be chairing and answering queries at the APEC Business Advisory Council Dialogue with Leaders.

The president will bring along his wife Peng Liyuan to the APEC welcoming banquet along with other participants and their spouses.

Besides the mentioned APEC meetings, the Chinese president will also have individual meetings with the members. Premier Li Keqiang will also be meeting with some of the APEC members, said the foreign minister.
