In the past 30 hours, Hurricane Patricia developed into the strongest hurricane ever and its path put it perfectly on route to hit Mexico's backside in a couple of hours.
The National Hurricane Center referred to it as a "potentially catastrophic landfall," according to Weather.

According to BBC, the National Hurricane Center offered a Hurricane Patricia livestream page on its official website, whereby they posted live updates of Hurricane Patricia's route.
In addition, there were livestream videos of Hurricane Patricia online, with web cams in evacuated hotel beach resorts towns pointing right into the ocean capturing the power of Hurricane Patricia.
Hurricane Patricia's path and harshness made it a Category 5 storm, having sustained winds blowing inside the hurricane going up to 200 mph. The National Hurricane center initially sent exploration aircrafts inside Hurricane Patricia earlier and they managed to measure pressure as low as 880-millibars, the lowest hurricane ever recorded in the region.
Furthermore, Mexico expected rainfall of up to 20-inches on the western shoreline, spurring huge flash floods and mudslides in the whole region.
Given that the wind gusting across Hurricane Patricia's route were sufficient destruction to infrastructure and buildings along, Mexico was in for a beating.
However, the Mexican authorities took the hurricane seriously and declared a state of emergency in all municipalities that were in the path of Hurricane Patricia. The municipalities affected were 56 in total, and the authorities dispatched sandbags to residents to help with the unavoidable flooding that ravaged the region.
At the moment, schools in Guerrero, Colima, and Jalisco have been closed down.
