Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao has announced that China will work together with other countries in advancing aviation and aerospace causes in a more open manner, according to a Xinhua News Agency report.
Li made the announcement on Monday during a meeting with foreign delegations to the 7th China International Aviation and Aerospace Forum.
"China will join hands with other countries to promote aviation and aerospace development in a more open manner so as to make greater contributions to the peace and development of mankind," the official said.
Li also asserted China's commitment to the progress of aviation and aerospace during the conference, which is currently taking place in China's Guangdong Province and opened on Monday.
"China pays high attention to the development of aviation and aerospace causes and has basically set up its own independent industrial system in the two fields," Li said.
