The single-player-only platform adventure game "Ori and the Blind Forest" won the Best Audio awards at the recently held Golden Joystick Awards 2015.
The award was presented by DTS. Among the nominees that vie for the Best Audio award are "Elite Dangerous" and "Life Is Strange," which took the third and second place respectively.
According to Games Radar, the soundtrack of "Ori and the Blind Forest" was composed by Gareth Coker.
"Ori and the Blind Forest" was designed by independent developer Moon Studios and was published by Microsoft Studios. The game is exclusive to the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows platform. The game was officially released on March 11.
In the game, players take the role of Ori who is a guardian spirit and has a unique skillset that allows it to tackle and complete obstacles. During the course of the game, players are tasked to complete platforms and puzzles in order to advance to the next level and ultimately beat the game.
Following its official release, "Ori and the Blind Forest" was received with critical and financial success. The developer of the game claim that Microsoft was able to recuperate the game's budget and manage to earn profit from it in just a span of one week after the game was released.
The recently concluded Golden Joystick Awards 2015 handed the Best Original Game award to "Bloodborne," according to BBC. "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" won two major awards, Best Storytelling and Best Visual Design. "Grand Theft Auto Online" won the Best Multiplayer award and "Kerbal Space Program" won the Best Indie Game award.
