WWE SmackDown in Colorado Springs, Colorado began with a brief promo from Alberto Del Rio and Zeb Colter.
The odd couple went on their usual bit about their latest brainchild, MexAmerica.
Match #1: Alberto Del Rio vs. Neville
Alberto Del Rio faced Neville for the night's first match.
The newly minted WWE United States Champion worked as a fantastic heel all throughout, punishing The Man That Gravity Forgot with vicious moves to win the contest.
Del Rio then continued to assault Neville after the bell before Jack Swagger made the save.
Match #2: The Usos vs. The Ascension
The Usos went face to face with The Ascension to the delight of the World Arena crowd.
Fans felt the excitement as Jimmy and Jey wasted no time beating the former NXT Tag Team champs.
Ultimately, The Usos easily came on top in a relatively short bout.
Match #3: The Wyatt Family vs. The Lucha Dragon & The Primetime Players
To provide a little taste of Survivor Series, WWE set up a traditional eight-man elimination match that pitted The Wyatt Family against The Lucha Dragons and The Primetime Players.
Darren Young was the first one eliminated by way of count out, closely followed by Sin Cara. Kalisto went next after he was thrashed by Erick Rowan, before Bray Wyatt finished Titus O'Neil.
All in all, The Wyatt Family dispatched their counterparts with ease - sending out a chilling warning to their Survivor Series rivals.
Match #4: Ryback vs. King Barrett
Up next were Ryback and King Barrett.
Another rather short yet highly physical match took place, as The Big Guy and the King of Ring winner launched heavy bombs at each other.
In the end, Ryback secured the three-count after he reversed a sleeper hold into a Shellshock.
Match #5: Natalya vs. Tamina Snuka
Tamina sans Team B.A.D went up against Natalya in the penultimate match of the night.
Nattie made sure to her opponent felt her prowess with impressive chain wrestling and well-placed strikes.
Thankfully, everything paid off as Natalya got the nod in this one.
Match #6: Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens
The main event of WWE SmackDown featured a singles match between Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens.
Both competitors didn't hold back, however, the WWE Intercontinental Champion successfully sold a phantom low blow to pick up a disqualification victory.
A pissed off Dean Ambrose unloaded on Kevin Owens but the latter sneaked out and made an escape through the crowd to finish the festivities of this week's SmackDown.
