For diehard fans of Super Smash Bros. 4, Shovel Knight is the most solid character add-on for the upcoming game but Nintendo remains silent on the matter while Yacht Club Games, the Blue Knight creator, has already dismissed the rumors. Notwithstanding, hopes are high that the popular figure will be part of the brawl soon.
According to Yacht Club, Shovel Knight is not playable on the Super Smash platform so the chance is slim or even nil that the character will become a Smasher soon. Still, the rumors refused to die down and here the three reasons Super Smash gamers are holding to the belief that they'd get to be the Shovel Knight soon:
Nintendo can't argue with popularity
As it stands, the Shovel Knight popularity is immeasurable and it is the chief reason the character has emerged as the strongest contender to become the next Super Smash superstar. It is incumbent upon Nintendo to take heed of the deafening calls from its supporters to push for the Blue Knight no matter the recent indication that it will be an impossible task.
In reality, nothing is impossible nowadays and it only takes some amount of serious work from both Nintendo and Yacht Club to grant the wish of fans, which in doing so will surely add up to the already immense Super Smash popularity.
Nintendo listens to clamor
One solid proof that Nintendo cares for fans' sentiments and requests, the company conducted a Fighter Ballot that allows Smashers to nominate the characters they'd want to play on the game. While the official result remains under wrap, the loudest voice, it appears, is behind the Shovel Knight.
Nintendo asked the fans for inputs and the Smashers have spoken. It is unthinkable that the Super Smash creator will ignore what the loyal gamers have thumped about.
Shovel Knight as part of rumored Black Friday 2015 Wii U is perfect
It has become a Nintendo tradition to release Wii U Black Friday editions with bundled games. In the past, Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U were packaged with the console. Now the latest rumors point to a Super Smash Bros 4 bundle that Nintendo will unleash on or before November 27 this year.
Indeed it would be perfect if the murmuring will prove correct but it would be beyond awesome if the Super Smash Wii U Black Friday gift will unpack at the same time with the promised game DLCs, with Nintendo stuffing Shovel Knight as part of the unboxing. Fans can only hope that the rumors will turn out true or will even surpass their expectations.
