"Deadpool" will feature new details on the role and powers of Negasonic Teenage Warhead, as well as a possible cameo appearance of Wolverine in the film.
The latest Marvel superhero film, "Deadpool" will feature two characters from the X-Men franchise; Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead as actress Brianna Hildebrand revealed several new details about her role and powers in the film.
Hildebrand told Screenrant that Negasonic Teenage Warhead will act as a "sidekick" of Colossus (Andre Tricoteux) and will have some kind of brother and sister bond with Wade Wilson/Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) within the film, much to he annoyance. She also shared some of her experiences in the set of "Deadpool" movie such doing dangerous stunts and training herself to prepare for the role.
Negasonic Teenage Warhead/ Ellie Phimister in the X-Men lore was a student of Emma Frost and a member of the Hellfire Club. Her mutant abilities include telepathy and precogition. Comic book writer Grant Morrison stated that Ellie's code name came from the song "Negasonic Teenage Warhead" by Monster Magnet and has been some what a running gag within the comics.
Hildebrand stated that Negasonic Teenage Warhead in the film will be a little different as she is an X-Man and her powers include precognition and has to ability to make things explode.
In others news, the long rumored Wolvirine cameo in "Deadpool" may have been rekindled once again as Hugh Jackman posted a video on his Instagram featuring Reynold's impersonating him. Reynold's did the video in order to show support for his fellow "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" cast member for People's Sexiest Man Alive.
However, many comic book still speculated that Logan/Wolverine might have a cameo in "Deadpool" as recent reports revealed Jackman visited the set of the film, Cinemablend reported.
Both Wolverine and Deadpool appeared in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" as both team mates and enemies. The two characters were part of the Weapon X project, but since the whole time line has been changed, Deadpool will have a different origins story within the solo film, giving justice to character much to the fans delight.
Jackman on the other hand, will have two X-Men films left, "X-Men: Apocalypse" and "Wolverine 3" before retiring his famous role for good.
"Deadpool" will release in cinemas on Feb. 12, 2016.
