The Chicago Bears (3-5) escaped a three-game losing skid with a win in Week 9 while the St. Louis Rams (4-4) dropped one on the road. The Rams will now host the Bears at the Edward Jones Dome on November 15th for a 2015 NFL season Week 10 matchup.
Boosted by an amazing game from quarterback Jay Cutler, the Bears turned back the San Diego Chargers at their home field of Qualcomm Stadium on Monday Night Football, as per USA Today.
Cutler threw 27-of-40 for 345 yards and had two touchdowns, one interception, and one sack for a QBR of 73.7 and a rating of 100.5 to lead Chicago past San Diego in the fourth period. Running back Jeremy Langford also had one touchdown and ran 72 yards on 18 carries during the match.
Meanwhile, St. Louis was defeated by the Minnesota Vikings, 21-18, in overtime at the TCF Bank Stadium on November 8th, as reported by Fansided.
The game was a back-and-forth affair with the Vikings taking a 10-0 lead in the first quarter before the Rams fought back to make it 15-10 in the second.
As the game ended at 18-all in regulation play, with Minnesota quarterback Teddy Bridgewater out of the game after being knocked out in the head, the Vikings' Blair Walsh executed another game-winning field goal, this time from 40 yards out, to beat the Rams.
