‘Super Smash Bros’ Screenshots Of Cloud Shows Battle Scenes; More Info Coming In Nintendo December Announcement

With the confirmation that Cloud Strife from "Final Fantasy VII" is coming to "Super Smash Bros.," some interesting new screenshots have appeared to hype fans even more.

The latest batch of screenshots spotted by DualShockers shows off some posed and actions shots of Cloud. In most shots, he is wielding his Buster Sword. There is one shot where Cloud is battling against Mario and another which appears to be captured in the new stage coming with the new character.

The gameplay trailer released for Cloud in "Super Smash Bros." does seem to have put a lot of fans in a frenzy. Over at Reddit, one of the top conversations so far is the fact that Cloud has finally stormed into the game.

Many fans are hyped about his inclusion in "Super Smash Bros" regardless of his not being a Nintendo character. Some fans did point out that this is not a surprise move, considering that Ryu from "Street Fighter" is already in the game, and yet "Street Fighter V" has not been announced or even hinted to come to a Nintendo console.

This argument has also made it made fans think that the idea of "Final Fantasy VII" finally coming to a Nintendo console like the Nintendo NX as being debunked before it began. However, that has not yet stopped fans from speculating more characters to come to "Super Smash Bros."

Considering the timing of the announcement, fans have also speculated that the Smash Ballot Fighter is a different addition apart from Cloud Strife.

"Each character takes roughly nine or so months to make (usually more), so Cloud has probably been in the works since early this year," said Redditor TecticianMagician in the Reddit post. "The ballot opened in April and ended in October, so unless they saw a massive surge of Cloud votes at the very beginning and contacted SE right then, he's probably unaffected by the ballot."

This does make sense, considering what can already been seen in Cloud's reveal trailer for "Super Smash Bros." What this could mean for the "Super Smash Bros." players is the total addition of two characters in the game.

While this are all speculations at this point, Nintendo may reveal even more in December. In the last Nintendo Direct, the company had stated that it will have a special broadcast on "Super Smash Bros."
