"The Originals" season 3 cast member Phoebe Tonkin recently opened up about her character Hayley's 14-hour fight with Klaus (Joseph Morgan).
In an interview with TV Line, the actress dished on her performance on Thursday night's episode "You Hung the Moon."
"That and the scene where I gave birth in the finale of season 1 were probably the two hardest days I've ever had on set. When you watch those scenes, they only run for about five or six minutes, but they each took, like, 14 hours to film. It was exhausting," she said.
Meanwhile, Tonkin also revealed another challenging part during their filming of the particular scene.
According to her, she didn't have any problems working with Morgan, but baby Hope didn't cooperate as much.
"You're doing all this tough, emotional work, and then you're like, 'No, Hope, get away from the balcony!' or 'Get away from the stairs!' It was a whole other thing, so that would take me out of the scene and I'd have to find a way back in. That was probably the most challenging part," she said.
In other news, Tonkin also talked about the future of Hayley and Klaus. At present, the two characters are no longer in a relationship. However, it seems that they just couldn't agree on anything.
Tonkin said that she hopes her character and Klaus will have more opportunities to have a civil conversation. After all, they have so many issues that have not yet been resolved.
"The Originals" season 3 airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
