Microsoft has plans to surprise the tech world with their newest upgrades and enhancements for Windows 10; everything's ready to be presented by January. Unfortunately, a recent leaked video gave users a lot to consider about the new Operating System.

The most conspicuous of the updates is the inclusion of Cortana, an intelligent personal assistant similar to Google Now and Apple's own Siri. The search button for Cortana which comes in the form of a microphone icon is already open by default and can be located at the bottom left of the home screen.

One interesting feature in this new update is the automatic sync-up of Windows Phone to the desktop Operating System. This means that all information from the phone can be automatically accessed through the synced desktop. This also means that Cortana can be accessed through a desktop computer. There is also a major overhaul on the Graphical User Interface.

A new Xbox app integration has been added to the new upgrade. What this means is that Xbox Live can now be accessed using a desktop computer and a synced Windows Phone. This new feature gives users complete control of their Xbox Live accounts anywhere as long as they have a synced device.

Users will be given the ability to access their achievements, activity feeds, friend's lists and Store access. Microsoft also shows great interest in integrating the SmartGlass application in the future. SmartGlass is an application for Xbox360 and Xbox One that is compatible to Windows devices. It enables Windows devices the ability purchase of games, applications, movies and even live streaming feeds.

A lot of new animations were added to the TaskView switcher. Microsoft also shifts into using the traditional Control Panel by updating it and giving it its classic view and interaction.

The Windows 10 upgrade will also give users the option to purchase movies, music and TV shows. This change presents the possibility the Microsoft wants to integrate its Xbox Music and Xbox Video store in just one easily accessible application.
