Max Stone and Monica Michael have been voted off from "X Factor."
According to Daily Mail, "X Factor" had seen another double elimination in Stone and Michael, preserving the drama in its ninth week. The two performers had gotten the lowest number of votes from the public. Stone had been sent home first before Monica after their sing-off, which had left the judges challenged on who to send home.
The double elimination was announced by hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs. As they revealed the sad news, Stone's mentor, Simon Cowell had given him an affectionate talk, saying that there had been no hard feelings.
Stone bowed with grace as he left the competition, saying that he felt lucky to had come this far. He also said that he thought it might have been the song; however, he had probably needed a song that had showed his voice more, or maybe it had been because he was ill.
"X Factor" judge Cowell was the first judge to "crash out" the contest, since he had had no choice but to see Anton Stephans go up against Michael in the sing-off. Michael had sung a rendition of Beyonce's "Broken Hearted Girl" while Stephans had opted to sing Simply Red's "If You Don't Me By Now."
Stephans in the bottom three was quite odd, since he had been one of the top performers in the phone vote last week, according to Telegraph.
After the performance, Nick Grimshaw said that Stephans had performed better while Rita Ora had chosen her own act. Cheryl Fernandez-Versini said that she was sticking with Monica while Cowell had chosen to save Stephans.
Cowell also revealed that next week was going to be an "X Factor" live tour for the remaining seven contestants, pointing out the importance of surviving this week.
The next episodes of "X Factor" will air on Nov. 21 and Nov. 22.
