American subsidiary T-Mobile U.S. Inc. is the first wireless carrier in the United States to offer and introduce the LTE version of the Google Nexus 9, the latest tablet from the tech giant. Google launched the WIFI version of the tablet, which is exclusively manufactured by HTC, in early November.
The LTE-enabled Google Nexus 9 is available through the carrier's Underground store and has a price tag of about $600. Customers who wish to pay for the tablet in an installment plan can do so with only $24.99 per month within 24 months with zero downpayment.
Additionally, existing T-Mobile subscribers can also get the Nexus 9 for an extra $10 per month with their Simple Choice plan, which also gives 5GB of data bandwidth for use on Google's new tablet.
The Google Nexus 9 is also eligible for the carrier's monthly free data of 200 MB for life contract.
The LTE version of the tablet is also available at the Google Play Store, but getting the Google Nexus 9 is considerably longer on the Google's online store as shipping time and schedule of arrival will still be accounted for.
T-Mobile also recently launched an affordable family plan that offers unlimited 4G LTE data, voice and text messages, and talktime.
Under a FCC (Federal Communications Commission) filing, the Google Nexus 9 with LTE should not only be made available for T-Mobile subscribers. Other wireless carriers such as Sprint Corporation, Verizon Communications and AT&T Inc. should be also supported by Google's new tablet.
The T-Mobile launch of the LTE Google Nexus 9 was postponed two weeks ago due to concerns regarding its build quality as early users reported issues with the tablet's volume and power buttons and its back panel.
