A Reddit user recently shared a touching photo of "man's best friend" on the social network. It is a photograph of her 15-year-old dog that passed away one year ago. The pet canine Libra was very old and ill, but she still was ecstatic to enjoy her last car ride in her owner's vehicle, sticking her nose outside the rolled-down window and cherishing every moment of the experience.
April Kramer of Cocoa Beach, Florida was the owner of the pet pooch. In her Reddit post she apologized about posting the picture, but she was feeling very emotional. Kramer explained that at the time of the photo her dog had many health problems including no bladder control and many seizures.
Kramer told "The Huffington Post" that the snapshot showed her last 30 minutes with Libra, who she had grown up with. Uploading the image helped to comfort her, according to PopSugar.
Kramer explained in the Reddit post that the picture helped her to feel better about Libra no longer being around. It was a very tough day for the Floridian, but she was pleased that her pet dog looked so happy and peaceful in the photograph. For her owner that was enough.
Other Reddit users explained they were sorry about Libra passing away. They also shared their own pets' stories.
One person wrote that Kramer's tale was the "saddest thing," according to The Huffington Post. Another said they were a "cat person" but had also experienced a pet dying. The person added that Libra had a lot of fun during the last ride and was waiting for her owner on the other side of the bridge, suggesting that it is true "all dogs go to heaven."
