The huge Clash of Clans update promised at the ClashCon event last October is scheduled for early December. According to latest reports, Clash of Clans developer Supercell has started its 2- week journey into sneak peeks for the forthcoming update. This sneak peek has to do with shields, particularly related to defending and attacking.
According to the developer, improving the shield system is a complex task, therefore, upcoming Clash of Clans update includes a package of changes that is designed to make attacking more encouraged, play sessions more flexible and village defense fairer.
According to latest reports, the developer has disclosed how defending and attacking will be changing.
1. Destruction of Town Hall will not grant a shield now.
2. Attacking while shielded will not break the complete shield, but costs a bit of shield time.
The game developer Supercell said that under the new system, it will be completely possible to get attacked, obtain a shield, and then attack 2-3 times without losing all of the shield. Supercell further said that the update will change how shields are obtained.
A 12-hour shield = 30% destruction
A 14-hour shield = 60% destruction
A 16-hour shield = 90% destruction
But no shield is granted if the attacker does not use 50% of a complete army, The Bitbag reported. Given below are the changes regarding attacking while shielded.
1. Being shielded will not prevent browsing targets or attempting revenge.
2. Executing a revenge attack while shielded will take three hours from the remaining shield time
3. Additional attacks while shielded will deduct increasing amounts of time of the remaining shield time (4 hrs, 5 hrs, etc)
Furthermore, the new update comes with a new hero and new buildings, Neurogadget reported. Reports suggest that the new hero will probably be a mage and will cost 6 million elixir. In addition, an increase to the map size and a village guard concept are included in the new update.
