"19 Kids and Counting" alum Jim Bob Duggar talked about her wife's miscarriage in an open letter published on their family's website. Josh Duggar's father also encouraged parents to remove all books or magazines in the household that carry any sensual content.
In the open letter titled "A Message to Fathers from Jim Bob," he shared that they were devastated when they found about Michelle's miscarriage. He said that they were not aware that even on birth control pills, one could get pregnant but eventually lead to miscarriage.
Jim Bob explained that all children should be considered blessing from God. He shared that by choosing to use the pill, they were actually "rejecting" His gifts.
He also encouraged fathers to become the spiritual leader of their homes. He shared that they should pray with their wife everyday and "protect their family by removing books, magazines, television, or internet that have worldly or sensual content." Jim Bob held that these should be replaced by "good things like wholesome music, biographies of great Christians, good old-fashioned family fun and games."
Meanwhile, Josh's wife Anna Duggar spoke about her husband's scandal in the new promo for "Jill and Jessa: Counting On."
In the trailer, after months of refusing to talk about Josh, Anna finally broke down in tears.
"It was heartbreaking to hear what had happened," she said.
Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald, however, remained optimistic. At the end of the promo, they both said that they believed that they will all get through this and move forward.
