There's no statement yet as to when the release of MacBook Air in 2016 will take place, but rumors suggest that this series can be phased-out in Apple's product line. The company may consider in modifying iPad Pro instead and make it a worthy substitute for MacBook Air.
Due to unexpected events that took place last March, Apple is considering of ceasing manufacture of MacBook Air devices, as reported in Latino Post. Apple has recently released its latest MacBook versions; however, MacBook Air was noticeably not part of the line-up, which experts think that it could be the end of the device.
Jan Dawson of Jackdaw Research says MacBook Air has been kept just like older iPhones; however, it is currently in the same level as newer iPhone versions. They thought hard if MacBook Air will disappear in time.
Dawson may not be the only expert who recommends the same concept. As what Carolina Milanesi of Kantar WorldPanel Comtech says, all notebooks should be mobile and something like the Air can be removed so that there can be distinction of every model in Apple's line of products. Besides, iPad Pro has a comparable mobility like those of the Air.
According to Gospel Herald, MacBook Air updates can still be declared on Black Friday weekend, while Motoring Crunch recommends the gadget may have post clearance updates. It is also said that the reason for the delay is that Apple just launched the iPad Pro, which is not really advisable for a company's growth if they release a related product in short time.
But should there be a release for the newest MacBook Air, it should definitely come with a coveted Retina display, a Force Touch upgrade, and a Touch IDF on the Trackpad, which is alike to the 13-inch MacBook Pro. The Touch ID feature is already visible in other Apple gadgets like the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and iPhone 5S, which made the company more secure.
Meanwhile, experts suggests that should MacBook Air Retina version be released in the market, preceding models may likely undergo a price drop or stoppage, which already happened in other Apple MacBook versions.
