Samsung Galaxy Series has been a game changer for Samsung in the smartphone market over the past few years. But in the previous launches of Samsung, featuring Samsung Galaxy S6 and other smartphones, they haven't been revolutionary and are seen as ordinary in the present trend, while the Samsung Galaxy S7, its upcoming flagship, is much hyped than any of its previous ones.
One reason why people are now gearing up towards the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S7 is that it is expected to feature memory card slot, a lost feature on course of the galaxy series. It is also rumored that the upcoming killer smartphone of Samsung has curved edge from top to bottom, as opposed to the sides of Galaxy S6 Edge.
While a section of media and online watchers consider these specs as close to reality, the others differ in opinion. The new flagship device from Samsung is expected to feature two variants, which are dubbed as Hero and Hero 2 and are codenamed "Project Lucky."
Though the memory card slot feature is not new, many users see it as a welcome change and greatly reduces the dependency on cloud storage and internal storage of the devices. The Hero variant will sport a 5.2-inch display, while the Hero 2 variant boasts of a curved "edge" top and bottom (as opposed to sides in S6 Edge with 5.7-inch display.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to launch on Feb. 21, 2016 and is also rumored to sport 2560 x 1440 pixel QHD Display, 1.0µm pixel-based 23MP Camera that runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 for Hero and Exynos 9980 for Hero 2.
