Paypal founder and CEO of Tesla Motors, Elon Musk, who divorced his second wife, Talulah Riley in 2012, pulled off the plug for the second time, leaving her with $16 million.
The 28-year-old "Pride and Prejudice" star, Riley, who got a $4.2 million settlement when she separated in 2012, had reconciled with her billionaire husband in July 2013. However, the two have decided to call it shots once again, with Musk filing for divorce on New Year's Eve.
A spokesperson for Riley and Musk told Media persons that the latter has agreed to pay $16 million to Riley as settlement.
When Musk, who was also founder of SpaceX, first separated from British actress Riley, barely a year after their marriage in 2012, he tweeted, "@rileytalulah It was an amazing four years. I will love you forever. You will make someone very happy one day," according to Daily Mail.
There seemed no bitterness among the two at the time since, Musk, in an interview with Forbes had praised Riley, referring to her as 'a great woman.' He said that the two decided to stay away from each other for nearly six months to see if "absence makes the heart grow fonder", but found that they did not miss each other. "I still love her, but I'm not in love with her. And I can't really give her what she wants," added Musk at the time.
Musk, with assets and property worth $672 million, first met Riley in July 2008 and married her in September 2010.
The billionaire has five children from his first wife Justine Musk, whom he was married to for nearly eight years. Justine is a sci-fi novelist and her books, Bloodangel, Lord of Bones, and Uninvited, are quite popular.
