In a bid to provide gamers with the best computer gaming products, Lenovo and Razer have revealed the Lenovo Y Series Razer Edition desktop PC.
The two tech companies made the announcement at DreamHack Winter 2015 in Jonkoping, Sweden, where hardcore gamers have gathered to witness various competitions.
Specifically, Razer CEO and co-founder Min-Liang Tan was the one who revealed the prototype of the upcoming gaming desktop PC to the eSports audience composed of tens of thousands of players, according to Fortune.
The Lenovo Y Series Razer Edition features the signature Chroma lighting typically found on Razer products. Furthermore, Lenovo executive Victor Rios noted that the partnership between the two companies aims to combine the style of Razer with the design and of the Lenovo Y series.
Lenovo's vice president and general manager of workstation BU, gaming and industry solutions further exclaimed that Razer's expertise when it comes to providing the best products for gamers and Lenovo's excellence in design, manufacturing and engineering would likely lead to new experiences for players in the near future.
The move made by Razer and Lenovo to announce the partnership at DreamHack shows how the companies plan to market the future products directly to the most passionate gamers in the world, which includes people who were only watching the event through live streams.
Even if Razer is already a billion-dollar company with a sizeable gaming community ready to buy the company's latest products, having support from Lenovo means that more people could be made aware of Razer as an attractive purchase, according to Engadget.
Similarly, Lenovo has to take risks by concentrating on the gaming industry since the overall computer revenue of the Chinese company has been decreasing rapidly.
More details about the Lenovo Y Series Razer Edition would be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas which starts on Jan. 6, 2016 and ends on Jan. 9, 2016.
